Where to buy kitchen cabinets

Question

So, i replace about 4-5 kitchens a year.   Any words of wisdom where to buy cabinets?    Maple, actual wood, as inexpensive as possible.   Use to buy them as a contractor from lowes for about 1500/kitchen they just really pissed me off though and I'm tired of going there.

Try to find a local supplier who has low end products.  Generally, these products are twice as nice as what you'll get at home depot or lowes, at about the same price.

Btw, just to give you an idea of prices you can find, we have two local suppliers who can do a whole kitchen (cabinets, laminate countertops, delivery and installation) for between $2800-3500.  A matching single bathroom vanity is about $125 and a matching double bathroom vanity is about $250.

You'll need to find a real wood wholesale distributor like what we have in Surplus Warehouse, Capital Blvd, Raleigh. I know, long drive for you... but look around and you'll find one. As J Scott says better quality and priced about the same. I'll be buying from there in a few weeks. No more Lowe's cabinets for me.

No...that's bigger than a typical single vanity, plus the extra knee space...

I don't remember exactly how much that was, but I'm guessing probably in the $200-250 range (cabinet, countertop, delivery and installation)...
