Asbestos or White Mold?

I am rehabbing an old house with a wet basement. Most contractors told me those in the picture is white mold. But someone repairing the basement there said it is not mold but Asbestos which seems to be more dangerous staff.

Should Asbestos only grow naturally out of rocks but not wood? Any opinion is appreciated.
