Proper grounding technique for trac pipe.. anyone?

Question

Plumber ran new trac (gas) pipe in a sfr I have and it needs to be grounded. Can someone tell me the proper way to do this and which wire to use?

Looks like you place a grounding clamp around the pipe fitting. I'm thinking a 10-12 gauge bare copper wire should suffice.
