Pre-wire CAT6 or CAT7

Hello, I am sort of new to bigger pockets, and I have a self-serving question. I am curious to understand why new development or even rehabs aren't being pre-wired for internet or smart home setups? I am a Low Voltage Cabler, IT Consultant, and online content creator. As I've gone on my day-to-day work of wiring homes, the question of why aren't people wiring for internet the same way they install electrical outlets? Any insight on this?

I ran cat6 every where in my personal residence.  Every where I have a coax cable I also have a cat6 connection.  2 in the living room and 2 in my master bedroom just because I move the PS4 back and forth.  I also have apple TVs on all our TVs.  Everything is wired except the phones and laptop.  I'm also in Gig City, over kill for the win...lol
