Any one know if I can send my contractor to home depot and let him pick out all the supplies he needs and if they can call me and I can pay with my credit card? I dont want to give him my card and I want to put the materials on this card.

Yes, I do it all the time. Have them fax you a copy of the reciepts.

I know some investors that buy home depot gift cards as well and give them to contractors to buy small items. This limits your exposure in case of theft.
