Estimating a ballpark rehab job

Hey!

Before doing a thorough inspection on the house to accurately estimate the rehab job, is there a quick method that anyone uses to calculate the rehab? In order to quickly weed out prospects when analyzing properties I wanted to check to see if anyone has a formula or method for estimating a ballpark range of rehab costs.
