This is a very broad question, so the simplest answer is to read books, listen to podcasts, and network. I'd suggest you find a niche that suits your interests and focus on that.

The first thing to do is get your finances in order. Get a decent job, pay off debt, and save money. In the meantime read lots of books and listen to podcasts and YouTube videos. Your direction will start to solidify as you learn. It takes money to invest in real estate. Don’t fall victim to the get rich quick “no money down” BS.

I am in aggreance with everyone. I would only add a few things. Know what time of real estate you want? Commercial, Mobil home, single family, multi unit etc. Once you understand which one you want, learn as much as possible on that subject. Meanwhile, stay away from debt and pay of your current debt off.
