Austin investors, where do you buy cabinets?  Lower to mid range. Granite countertops?

Hi Corey,  I'm in the Austin area  and recently used cabinetdoorworld.com too--at least I think it was cabinetdoorworld.com. Anyway,  I was very pleased with price and quality.  I also just removed all the doors from a house and took them to a cabinetmaker I have used and he bore holes for European hinges.  He also made me a drawer box that I am certain was  removed (stolen) from the house while it was listed on the MLS presumably by a prospective investor.
Anyhoo,  who did you use to fabricate your slab and how much below $20 sq ft did it cost?  And did you get under mount sinks and cooktop holes cut?  Curious because I just tiled a kitchen countertop in charcoal tile with white subway tile backsplash (painted cabints white) for maybe $200 in supplies.  But granite is nicer and I am interested in the ice quartz countertops they keep in stock at Floor n Decor for $500 a 10 ft slab.

Cabinets and Counter tops are still my biggest nemesis. I have found that I can make cabinets look new by sanding and painting the boxes and ordering doors online. The doors run about $20-$25 a piece including hinges and boring holes for hinges.  They are delivered raw, so you'll need to paint them. But that price certainly beats the $60/door you'll pay at most brick and mortar shops. I'm not going to recommend an online retailer as I've only used mine twice. Delivery takes about 4 weeks. I've used cabinetdoorworld.com but again...I'm not ready to make a recommendation until I use them a few more times.

As for counter tops, if you aren't doing islands or anything deeper than the traditional 22" depth, you can buy prefabricated granite slabs at a variety of places.  They'll run you $300 and less for the slab. Then just hire an experienced laborer for less than $20/square foot to install.

Jon Klaus I haven't had to buy cabinets in a while, but a fellow investor gets his at the Ikea store in North Austin.  His carpenter puts them together and hangs them.  They always look great.  I have yet to put granite in a flip, so I am no help there!
