What did you find?

I just read the thread on " Found $5,000 dollars under a waterheater " got me thinking of all the things i have found in houses or the years. So my question is What is the Best/Worst/Weirdest thing you Guys and Gals have found left behind or hidden in your past projects

I bought a house with a lot that had a shop on it. Shop was full if mostly junk, but back under a pile was a wooden crate with an camo painted outboard motor in it. I pulled the cowling and it looked brand new inside. Turned out to a near new Johnson 6 hp motor. Called the guy I bought it from and told him of find. He said his son had owned the property and drowned when his commercial fishing boat sank. He asked if I hunted ducks... I said yes... He said to keep the motor.

Best was a bag of Mercury dimes.  They were inside a hollowed out brick in the crawlspace of a bank that had been turned into a house.

Weirdest was doll parts in a dishwasher.

Worst was an over protective squirrel that attacked my leg.

4 bedframes in the crawlspace. was it used for storage? idk but we called it the whorehouse. these were built down there as no way to fit thru the crawl access panel.

we got those out pretty quick...didn't want prospects to look and think this was hooker paradise.

there was also 8 10 lights hooked up by romex down there. maybe growing pot?

My friend bought a house and found $1,200 and two handguns.

I have never been so lucky......Most I've found is a dollar bill, lots of change, returnable bottles and cans (10 cents each), extension cords, garbage cans, step ladders, tools, etc.

@Aaron Junck, Thanks for asking. I found Lots of old toys, Bottles, lots of old coins ,Dead animals and tons of old paint and tires. But sadly no big stashs of cash.

The coolest thing I found was a box of old newspapers enclosed under a set of stairs, and the paper face up on top was from May 13, 1960... The day I was born.

I recommend checking on top of kitchen cabinets in every home you buy and after every tenant vacates a property. TWICE, I have found a bag of pot and Ive found pot pipes and pornographic videos and magazines there. Seems its a favorite hiding spot for peoples "little treasures".

Best: 
Money, I'm not that lucky, over $200 in an copper kettle behind a rock pier in a crawl space. Old bills and change early 1900s sold to a coin dealer and got fifty for the kettle. Antique plum bob still hanging in a wall, still have it.  A civil war era US Army bugel, still have it....no, the house wasn't that old.

Worst:
Asbestos flooring under a newer floor. Rats and dead critters.

Wierdest:
Newspapers from WWI under rock-wool insulation in attic, turned over to museum. Some pretty racie love letters WWII era.
