I have an opportunity to buy a house, which looks very promising for a good profit. However, i have found out the property has a buried oil tank, which immediately makes me worried.
Go with my gut and pass, or dive in?
Hard pass. I'd be curious to find out what happens with the property though.
Maybe get some soil samples taken. I had one taken out for a client. $2000. But first they test the soil around it to see if it has leaked. If it has leaked, that's the time to pass.
