Experience with carpet tiles in a rental

Hellos REIs!  I want to inquire about your experience with carpet tiles in rentals- like these https://www.lowes.com/pd/Pebbl...

I've done it all when it comes to flooring in rentals - LVP, vinyl sheeting, carpet you name it.  I generally dont do tile, as its cost prohibitive in a rental (I have done that in flips).

Anyways, are those carpet tiles worth it if you get a good brand?  Are they durable for rentals?  Thanks in adv

They were previously installed in one rental we bought. My thought ahead of time was similar to you “I want to try these” - thinking I could self install islands of carpet in bedrooms myself and have the ability to patch if needed between tenants. My feelings kind of changed when I saw the one we bought. I don’t know if some tiles were replaced or installed in the wrong direction (since they do have a “grain” to hide seams) or replaced, but I was very disappointed that looking across the room I could easily pick out a number of the squares. It just looked wrong. So now it is more of a “maybe one day” we will try them.
