Buyer Beware - Hard Money Lenders

Do your due diligence when selecting a lender.  Do they have a track record?  What is it? Do they have decent reputation for doing the right thing?  I have heard the horror stories.  If your lender is "too easy", then buyer beware.  Just a little advice.
