Half bath vs full bath

Christine Powell
Posted

1140 square foot 3 bed 1.5 ranch house. I am trying to decide if I leave the half bath or will I get a large return from turning the half into a full bath by adding a shower in the basement?

@Christine Powell  is the basement where the half bath is ?    Is it living space with a bedroom?   If it is not living space with a bedroom I doubt  you will get  more rent.

2 full baths is almost always going to bring you a higher value for resale. The only way to know for sure is to run an analysis on each along with the costs to convert to full bath. Get comps from agents on both options and see if the capital investment delivers a positive return or not.

What are the comps telling you to do?
