Anyone have experience using an ozone generator for removing fire smoke smell?

Yes, I've used one and it took care of it. I ran it 3 times to ensure it worked and my new tenants (and the PM) could never tell there was a stove fire in the unit prior.  I bought a new one off someone on craiglist and it worked like a charm.

This is the one... It was after rehab, but if you're at the studs, you may as well try it out.

Yes. I bought a better one, $300 i think, and ran it multiple times to mitigate the home from heavy cigarette smoke. I also had to use allot of soap, water, paint, furnace cleaning and much more.
