Finding Good General Contractors in Baltimore

Posted

Hi Folks, I'm fairly new to Bigger Pockets, but not to Baltimore landlording, and have a couple of properties in the Hollins Market and Pigtown areas.  I first bought in 2001 and have some potential good deals next to or near my properties, that might need heavy rehabs, but with workable numbers.  I'm having real difficulty finding general contractors willing to work in marginal, "C" neighborhoods, and who stand up to requests for references or other standard questioning.  I've found great skill contractors who I have asked for references, but none of their referrals have been willing to work in the margins.

Any suggestions for finding good general contractors for Baltimore City?

Thanks,

JK Joseph

The guys at Charm City Construction and Repair are awesome, and also manage my properties for me. They work with a investors, but also homeowners, are incredibly knowledgeable and do quality work.
