ALABAMA DEPT OF REVENUE ISSUES

TIM HUGHES
Posted

Hello,

My issue is that i have not had any feedback from the Alabama Dept of Revenue after requesting a tax deed quote directly from their website. I didnt receive a confirmation email of my request as the website says and you cant reach anyone at the phone number. Is there anyone who has experience working with them? The price request was sent weeks ago and ive received no communication back from them. Any feedback or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

They are probably overwhelmed. Before the wholesalers started inundating them with price quote requests, hundreds at a time in hopes of flipping at least one quote, the average price request volume was around 1,600 per month. They are now well over 20,000 a month with no increase in personnel. That is because there is no increase in revenues because most of the requests never result in a sale. You are probably 20 or 30 in line, with each person ahead of you taking up 20 days per request.  You'd be better off tracking down former owners and redeeming. Same price, faster results.
