Tax Deed Selection

I recently read a lot here on BP about tax lien/deed investing and I decided I want try to invest in Tax Deed state vs. Tax Lien State because I'm aiming to get get properties hopefully, so now my question is how do I pick which of the deed states to bid for by an tax sale auction
