Which site to use to prepare 1098s (not 1099s)

Question

Any note investors here?  What do you use for your 1098s?  The site I use for contractor 1099s (esmartpayroll) does not provide.

I use my servicer. They send out everything. No need to have another step to hassle with.

IRS will mail you blank ones for free that you can fill out.

A blank one is here, on page 3, as well, but the IRS says not to use it for some reason because they'd rather mail it to you.

Joshua, I used servicer for one of my loans.  The issue is that their monthly fee eats into the profits.  (

The one I used is charging $40/mo)

I thought Dodd-Frank allowed us to do the first 3 every year without a servicer?   Could benefit from your perspective on this.  Thanks!

Hi, Paul,

I use https://track1099.com/. I know the site says it is 1099s, but they also do 1098 and a number of other forms. It is (from my perspective) inexpensive and easy. You literally can download the form to mail within minutes of signing up. I think I paid $3.99 to do a 1098.
