Marty Granoff mentored me informally in the Note space. We met as I was a prospective client selling part of a business note I owned. I've been mentored by him over the years and we've transacted on deals along the way. I love you, Marty Granoff:)

Self taught mostly, although BiggerPockets has definitely been a big help.  I'm part of Scott Carson's crew now and learn a lot through him and others in the group.  The education in this space is never-ending, but there's no better way to learn than doing!

Thanks Bob.  Marty Granoff was one of them, but I found many along the way.  I'm connecting to folks now that bought in the 2000's and it's fascinating to hear the early years stories:)  Just ran across a gentleman Peter Eiseman who worked with Dreambuilder in the early days.
