Personally I've purchased 10 notes so far this year in various joint ventures and in our private equity fund we just acquired 66 second position notes. So far so good!
馃挴 correct - I would have to imagine that 80% of people who take a course two years later are no longer doing what that course was based on.
Like any business there is a lot of hard work Involved. You will here stories of people making $50k on a deal but they most likely have put in 1000鈥檚 of hours to end up at that point which most of the time occurs due to a certain type of luck
When I was thinking of doing this was 07 to 08 when there were tapes all over the place.. first frustration was finding who was real.. and frankly I never solved that.. and then the second was did I really want to get into something with that much detail only to start getting small monthly payments .. now granted you get enough of them and its real money no doublt.. but in my mind you have to be able to scale this or if your private guy U need a few million in cash to make this worth the time and effort. Just my thoughts on it.
As we are now 8 weeks into the year, have you bought a note (or CFD)? If not what is holding you back.
Have you found a mentor to work with to assist you on what is holding you back?
Honestly- Just don't know where or how to start. I've came close to running into various forums yelling "I have $, how do I buy a note?!"
The easier to navigate websites just don't seem to have a return rate worth my while, or make me want to continue with the "traditional" tangible assets. Recent conversations with note "gurus" go like this:
Me- I want to get started in notes, how do I do it?
Them- Have you made connections with sellers? Banks, brokers, etc?
Me- No, how would I go about doing that?
Them- Well, you would have to buy notes from them already

You do that the same way you build any network. Start reaching out to people through BP, real estate investment meet ups, conferences, anywhere that the people you are trying to reach hang out and work. It takes a lot of effort and time to develop these but you start by making the phone calls, having the conversations, meeting people for lunch or coffee until you get your foot in the door.
You getting into a new whole exciting world of investments.
As one who had done in last couple of years all sorts of investments in the US real estate market (flips, own few buy & hold properties and now into notes) I can say I find the notes investments world as the most interesting, exciting and with potential and this is the reason I am now 100% into it.
We and my partner already acquired 2 notes this year, and we are now looking into acquiring another 2.

Good luck to all of the notes investors!
congrats many foreign investors struggle with understanding that notes in the US can be traded they way they are..
