If the investor buys and assigned a tax certificate in Jefferson county, what happens if the investor does not pay the subsequent year taxes? Will the subsequent year taxes be sold as another tax certificate? What happens to original investor who got the first tax certificate?
Trying to understand the first tax certificate investor will still have to be repaid and will not lose money?
@Srini K. , the property goes through another auction. The first investor can redeem from the second auction. The original owner can redeem from everybody.
Thanks for your reply. If the first investor does not redeem from the second investor, does the second investor get the deed(after 3 years) without paying the first investor? If the owner were to redeem does he have to pay both the first investor and second investor?
