Hello.2 years ago i bought a foreclosure property for cash but i did not do a title search( i did not know) i renovated this property and i am living here almost for 2 years....SO yesterday i applied for home equity loan sign all documents and so on......Today they called me and asked if i have a lien on my property, for 14k i said no i do not so they said to bring them the title and the house insurance....and in 2 days will take a look at the property

So i am thinking its possible to have this lien?i am living here for 2 years and i did not get any letter about it...I pay taxes every year so everything seems to be ok...............

What do you think guys>? thanks a lot for help

This lender has ALREADY checked the title search, and the results showed this lien. Details regarding this so-called lien will be necessary to determine whether it has any type of valid claim, and whether it should still attach to the real estate.

Why did you not receive any letters in the 2 years regarding this lien? Because the lien holder has not chosen to foreclose on the lien yet.

When you bought this is when this should have been uncovered. The question remains "how do you get parties involved in that purchase to accept the burden of being responsible for this?"
