NYC Vacant Properties List

Instead of driving around different neighborhoods looking for abandoned buildings my research has taught me that all the different municipalities in the country have departments that manage vacant properties. I was told that every municipality has the department but some municipalities don't make the info on the properties available online. Some places you have to call to get info on the property and some you have to fax. I tried to find the vacant properties department in the 5 boroughs but wasn't able to find the department for any of the respective boroughs. Does anyone know how I could contact the department in charge of vacant properties in the 5 boroughs? For example, the Jersey city vacancy list is made available in the link below.
