Charlotte Mega Development - River District/Catawba River

Evening everyone,

There is a mega development forthcoming in Charlotte which has been sanctioned by the city.  If built out as planned it will be the city's largest development since Ballantyne in the 90s and early 2000s.

Thinking about the 'path of progress' and that this is basically virgin territory for Charlotte to grow into, what are your thoughts on how this might affect the real estate market in West Charlotte as well as Belmont, Gastonia, etc?  In the analysis, let's take it for granted that it is built out as envisioned at this stage.

Are there other mega developments from other cities that we could look to as proxies for how this might affect the Charlotte real estate market?
