Speculation builds that Samsung will pick Austin for $17B plant

No decision has been made but media outlets in South Korea are reporting that the technology giant is likely to choose Austin for the semiconductor factory.

Austin is already home to a large Samsung manufacturing campus, with two fabrication facilities or fabs. The campus employs roughly 3,000 people, plus thousands of contractors.
