Using a Virtual Address to run your business remotely

Hey BP,

Currently, I'm living "Down Under" and continue to run my business remotely. Lately, I've been looking into a virtual address for my business? (My current business address is registered under a relative. As many of you know, you need a physical address, and not a PO Box in order to register an LLC.) Has anyone had any experience using a virtual address to run their business remotely?

Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.

We live overseas for part of the year and our residences are in NJ. We use a NJ registered agent as the site where our LLC can be served legal notices. We pay an annual fee for this and we've never really "used" it since, fortunately, we've never been served legal notice.

We then also use a separate virtual mailbox through iPostal1 to conduct our day-to-day mailings.  The entire process to get here has not been smooth, but it largely works.  What we've found, via trial and error, is that national virtual mailbox companies with mailboxes everywhere are only as good or bad as the local franchisee.  Happy to answer any additional questions and good luck.
