Investing in Southeast Asia

Hello everybody,

New to the forum, just as the post implies I'd like to know how everybody feels about investing in the real estate market in Southeast Asia right now. There are a lot of up and coming markets like Mongolia and Myanmar where one has the opportunity to get in early before the markets flooded with overseas buyers. Any success stories from people who own real estate in any of the areas like Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, etc.

Also how difficult did you find the buying process to be for a foreigner?

I have some investments in Cambodia right now.

Our land has appreciated 5 to 10x in the last 3 years or so.

The market there is pretty crazy but can be dangerous as well.

It’s all about land thought, homes and buildings doesn’t have a very long life span over there due to the humanity, etc.

If you are going to invest there, make you have family that you can trust there to partner up with.

Not someone that says they can help you out, blah blah blah.

Good luck! Let me know if you have more questions about Cambodia. I don’t know much about the other countries.
