Adding an ADU in Fort Worth

Hey BP, I'm a young investor considering buying my first SFH in Fort Worth, TX with the plan of adding an ADU. I would house hack this property, living in the ADU, and hold for a few years through college. I've been trying to do some research on zoning, among all the other things to think about with adding an ADU. From what I hear, FW is ADU friendly, but I'm not exactly sure what zoning terms to search for or how to filter that when analyzing deals online. I'd also love to hear from anyone who has researched or executed this strategy in the area. Thanks in advance for the responses!

Go to the building and zoning department when they open....talk to people there about your plan.  Normally they are good sources of info as to where it is allowed and what requirements they expect.
