Canadian interested in Detroit

Hi all!

Canadian here investing in The US.  I would like to start studying the detroit market.. any insight on this? Should I stay away for now?..

I am also Canadian looking at investing in Detroit. I agree with @Richard Ball it is good idea to visit the city and meet some local investors Etc. I visited Detroit last week for that very purpose, attended a REI meeting and toured the city. It gave me a much better insight on which areas to avoid and where to invest. I don't think the Detroit market is for everyone but I feel it has huge potential for a certain type of investor if done carefully.
