Local tax professional recommendation?

Question

Does anyone have a tax/accounting person in Madison that they'd recommend?  Preferably one with a good understanding of tax details for residential investment property.

I had a great accountant who sold his business last year to a firm whose service was not great.  Thanks!

@Emily DeanA lot of CPA / Tax businesses sold in the past 2-3 years.Reason # 1 - Tax reform made simple tax returns easier and difficult returns harder. The simple tax clients started to do the return on their own and they had less work but it was more challenging.A lot of brick and mortar tax practices will also have a hard time making it through under covid situations.Selling a tax practice can be very lucrative. The going rate is normally $1.00 - $2.00 per sales in your business.There are a couple of accountants on this message board. Feel free to reach out to a couple and pick the one you feel most comfortable with.You responded to a post recently about tenants in common. You want to make sure to work with an accountant who understands how ownership of real estate via TIC is taxed.
