Real Estate Investing Courses for Credit?

So I'm a teacher. Social Science Education. One of the areas I'm allowed to teach in High School is Economics. I got to thinking that for my continuing ed credits that I need to periodically do it would be useful to be able to find some online or correspondence classes in Real Estate Investing. But I'd need it to be something I could do for academic credit. I just wondered if anyone is aware of a program they would recommend.

I know some local colleges here in Rochester, NY that have accredited classes related to real estate, you may want to check around locally.

Also, I would recommend not just limiting yourself to real estate classes.  Real estate investing is a business, so any classes related to business will help you.  Thinking back to some of my most recent courses, here are a few topics that definitely helped my real estate business.

-Entrepreneurship - Understand what it means to be an entrepreneur and everything that coomes with it.  Classes that focus more on the hands on topics are the best.

-Lean Six Sigma - With the advancement of technology and the internet, it is easier (and more difficult) to compete in business. A business that heas lean processes and focuses on quality will had an advantage over one that does not.

-Financial Management - Having a successful business is all about understanding the financials (ex. being able to read a P&L or cashflow statement).

-Marketing - There are so many ways to market, and there are so many bad ways to market.  Understanding various marketing fundamentals will assist in planning and tracking your marketing efforts.

-Psychology - Real Estate is a people business.  Having some understanding about how people work will give you an edge when interacting with them.
