Guru Scam alert BEWARE
After 18 years building and evaluating real businesses, I joined Action Academy in September 2025 as a possible capital partner expecting a serious mastermind. I was disappointed. These people tend to be young, arrogant, inexperienced, and lacking any business direction.
The founder, Brian Luebben, lacks meaningful operational experience. His distillery and Alaska tour company are both struggling, yet he continues to push high-ticket international events using high-pressure sales tactics while name-dropping Tony Robbins.
The group operates like an exclusive club: founding members receive preferential access to deals and capital, while others—who pay the $10,000 entry fee—are largely sidelined unless they keep spending on additional events. Most members have only 0-2 years of experience, and the “advice” is superficial at best. Basically grifting off other mastermind groups, plagiarism.
What I witnessed is a classic high-ticket funnel: collect large membership fees to fund the founder’s lifestyle and social media image, then upsell relentlessly. Genuine deal flow and support appear reserved for the inner circle.
Save your money. Seek established masterminds with proven 10+ year track records, experienced mentors, and transparent value for every member—not just a select few. This one will likely fade as more people recognize the pattern.
