Rich dad, which one?

Question

I'm ready to read/listen to rich dad poor dad.

I went to amazon and see many choices. Which one do I get or do I get them all?

I started off with the first book. I also enjoyed Cashflow Quadrant and The Richest Man In Babylon (non Rich Dad book). Hope that helps!

The first Rich Dad book is alright, although I think it's a bit overrated (I know, it's blasphemy around these parts). It highlights the difference between investment income and employment income and why the former is so much better yet so often neglected. That's a crucial epiphany, but if you've already had it, I don't know how much help that book will be. I would recommend going with The Millionaire Real Estate Investor by Gary Keller personally.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad (the original) and The Millionaire Next Door were the gateway drugs to a pursuit of financial independence for me. It's amazing (and kind of sad) to think about how much time and money I may have wasted by not having a real financial goal in place.

I've heard a lot of negative things about Robert Kiyosaki and didn't enjoy his podcast when I tried it out, but you really can't go wrong reading his first book and thinking about becoming an asset owner instead of an employee. Good luck!

@Tim Davids -- Cris B. found what looks like the original. It's a classic and a must read. Very elementary, but solid principals: Have your assets pay for your liabilities, etc.

He and his advisors, Ken McElroy, Tom Wheelwright, Josh & Lisa Lannon, Andy Tanner, etc all have great books, as well.

Rich Dad Poor Dad was his first and best, I like the books he did with Trump they have more of a real estate feel to them.
