Becoming a Realtor

Fellow BP Members: I am looking for some good feedback. I just recently got involved in real estate investing. I have had some early success. I want to continue to learn and grow as an investor hoping to transition to become a real estate developer. My question really is how valuable is getting a real estate license as I develop my skills and knowledge of investing/building partnerships/building a business and brand?! Thanks for the feedback in advance.

@Richard Miller I started just as you did and 25 years later I am a full time agent, properaty management company owner and full time investor. It cant hurt to get licensed and if you decide its not for you and you don't capitalize on the benefits the costs are nominal and you can always put your license in referral or escrow at any time then the costs are nearly nothing.
