Which gurus are licensed?

Question

I have read many opinions on this sites about the pros and cons of investors getting a license.  I've come to the conclusion that there is no right or wrong answer.

I was curious which of the popular gurus actually have a real estate license?

          Some of the gurus had an education element and combined it with some sort of real estate service.  Caviar emperor  ;-)

I do not have my license any more. I donâ€™t think it was very beneficial. I know most people donâ€™t have theirs anymore. The only thing its good for is getting referral fees on leads that you can send to an agent. It just wasnâ€™t worth it to me. I didnâ€™t want to do all the classes and what not.

You guys are right.  The only reason I was asking was because I made the decision to get my license and was curious as to what investor also have licenses.  I read so many pros and cons posts on this forum that I did not want to start a new thread about it because I know I would have received the same answers.  I have also read many articles about the subject and basically made my own conclusion that there is no right or wrong answer.  Its all based on the individuals goals.  I have read some guru material and it never really mentions how they use their license in their REI business.

Jaremy is right.  The people you're referring to are marketers, not real estate folks.  If you're interested in what real, active real estate investors are doing, you should poll this community.

The good ones have a license to print money. :)  As far as a real estate license, why does it matter?  Most gurus that I know of don't make their money in real estate - they make it on selling their products.  There are a few exceptions, though, but by and large the majority of their profits are from marketing their "systems".
