Newburgh - For Sale By Owner?

Hey there, what is the best way to find "for sale by owner" properties in Newburgh, NY? Or off-market opportunities? I've been monitoring listing websites for months, but I keep getting out-bid by other buyers. Starting to get really frustrated.

@Jon Fletcher honestly I don't know how flippers are making a penny on the flips, I'm fortunate where I do everything at cost, I hire no contractors, these other guys with contractors have to be making nothing. In terms of newburgh tho on rentals, it's hard theirs so much big money cash in the rentals. I was told recently that they're will be a large influx of foreclosed multi family hitting the market, when, I don't know

@Jon Fletcher are you only focused on that one particular market? Would you consider joint venturing or partnering with other folks who get access to types of properties you are looking for? Just an option to consider that works well in my opinion.

Unfortunately getting outbid by other Buyers is a function of this Sellers Market.  It is happening in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and many other states.  Hang in there.  The real estate market goes in cycles, there will be a correction and it will turn into a Buyers Market.

@Jon Fletcher I'm in walkill just outside of newburgh, anything fsbo has been listed to avoid agent fees. The market is hot and the sellers know this. It's incredible what people are and we're asking for properties. I will say this tho, I have been seeing alot of price reductions the past few weeks, so maybe the market is starting to settle out, but only more time will tell. What is your goal ? Flips or rentals?

FSBO and off markets would probably be best found and acquired through feet hustling and from locals in Newburgh.  Do you live close by?
