Short Term Rentals in Southold
Hey guys, I am looking to purchase a property in Mattituck as a rental property. I am just looking for some insight/clarity from some realtors and or someone who is currently renting properties out east regarding the rental law that was passed in Southold a few years back. The law states that the home has to be rented for a minimum of 14 days, but when I look up rentals on Airbnb or vrbo, I see houses being rented out for long weekends and was wondering how they go about this. I don't want to purchase a house that I have to rent out for 2 weeks at a time because I feel it will be harder to rent, especially in the off season. Thank you all in advance.
