Homeowners Landlord insurance quotes

Hello folks!

Trying to pick your brains, I'm looking to close on my first rental property in Richmond City later this month. I've gotten two quotes for landlord insurance from my insurance agent who helped us get our current primary home insured. I was expecting a 20% increase but it looks like it's way more than that (1300 a year for a ~200k place).

I'll be calling other companies tomorrow to get more quotes but that just seems a bit high to me. Our current home is worth more than double the amount of the rental and we pay about the same. Not sure what rates you all have been getting in Richmond City and if you have any good recommendations on insurance agents/companies to look at.

Thanks in advance. I wish I would've learned all this 10 years ago!

@Luis Medrano   I pay about $1,000 for a quad that is worth about $350k. Shoot me a message if you want the contact info.
