Audio and Video Editing?

Hey everyone,

Some friends and I are looking into starting a YouTube channel and maybe a small podcast for the investing company we are starting and I am going to be the editing guy once everything is recorded/filmed. Any advice for some quality software at a reasonable price, or possibly even free? I have heard that there are some items for the iPhone that work pretty well but don’t know what those are. We are not doing anything extreme, but being able to merge multiple videos into one or removing some background noise, etc. will be the biggest things. Thanks in advance for all the help!
