Non paying tenants request
I have a couple that live in my home that I rented out. They have not been able to pay rent in over 3 months and a few weeks ago they called us about their being mold in the basements. I immediately called a professional company to take a look. His recommendation was to install a unhumidifier fan (I think that’s what he called -I could be wrong on the name) and that it would resolve the humidity down in the basement and stop the mold from building. Long story short, I’ve told them they need to leave because of lack of payment but They don’t have a set date on when they can leave because they’re saving money to move. All the while living in my home. I have hired a handyman that well experienced in this field of mold but the tenant wants me to hire a licensed mold specialist that will cost me 3X more than the handyman that will do the exact same thing. Do these non paying tenants any right to request this?
