Shiloh Neighborhood thoughts

I have seen a few new builds popping up in the Shiloh Community and wanted to get thoughts on the neighborhood from anyone who is working in the area or has property on the area.

I spoke with some cop friends that work in that district and they say the crime is really bad. Found some great deals in that area lately but wasn’t sure if anyone had any personal experiences.

We usually buy new construction and rent it out so I would hate for a bad neighborhood to make it hard to rent or drastically lower rents. I appreciate any insights.

I don't personally have rentals in Shiloh, but I believe it has a lot of potential as an up and coming area.  I've seen some new construction and in-fill in the area and shown a few multi-family rentals there.  I think you can probably still get good tenants with the housing demand in Asheville, although I can see how it may depend on the actual street/block you are looking at.
