Looking to Learn in Mobile Alabama

Hello to all in the BP community. I am a newcomer to the site so this serves as both an introduction and a breaking of the ice in terms of asking a question on the forum.... so here we go.

I stumbled upon the bigger pockets podcast series looking for a valuable way to use my morning commute and instantly became hooked. Ive always been interested in Real Estate and took the plunge with my first investment in 2009; a 2/2 in a North Carolina college town. Like most first timers I overpaid and under budgeted expenses.

I have since moved to the Eastern Shore of Southern Alabama and am interested in cash flowing buy and hold and rehab properties. I would love to get a feel for the rehab process in action. Not HGTV action, but the real life nitty gritty. I've been driving for dollars on a regular basis through the Fairhope, Daphne, and Mobile areas and consistently see a lot of rehab going on. If anyone is investing/rehabing/involved in real estate in the area and would be willing to let a new comer take them out to lunch in exchange for a little Brain picking, Id love to catch up.

Thanks to everyone who makes this place what it is. It is unreal what can happen from collective interest and genuine sharing of knowledge. Maybe one of these days I'll be able to share an experience to add to the wealth already here.

Thanks for taking a look and hope to catch up soon

Alex Johnson
