Bigger Pockets Houston Meetings?

Question

This question is for all Houston-based BP members.

Is there a BP Group currently formed with meeting ups?

I have heard lots of really positive news from BP groups formed in other cities, and I think attending some of the meet ups would be a huge benefit. I'm always looking to network and connect with people in the industry, and I would love to connect with some more locally based people.

@Gretchen Diercks - I look forward to meting you at the next meetup.  As @Denise Mayo-Walley mentioned, we created a group in Meetup.com to make it easier for people to figure out when the meetings.  The keywords are great, but they can be missed as @Leigh Ann Smith mentions.

hello @Gretchen Diercks ! I somehow stumbled across the meetup organized by Charles Nguyen here on BP several weeks ago. If you look on Meetup.com the event was posted under 'Real Estate Investors of Houston' and the event name was 'February BiggerPockets Meetup.' It was held on 2/19 but I was not able to make it. If you join that group there you should be notified of any future Meetups.

@Leigh Ann Smith Consider it done! I have contacts all over the nation, but, surprisingly I don't have as many as I'd like in Houston. There is so much information available on BP that sometimes I find myself lost in the forums and I end up missing what i was originally looking for.  I'm not complaining though, I love that about real estate, everything is always moving!

Hi @Gretchen Diercks , there is a group that meets about once a month in the mid-town area. @Charles Nguyen sets them up, so you might want to connect with and follow him so that you'll hear about the meet ups. You can also find them with keyword alerts, but so many of those come through that it's easy for me to miss the announcements!

I'll have to get the details from my wife, but she heard of a meeting in Houston.  I think it's tonight or tomorrow night.  It's not through BP.  I'll check back with you when I get more details.
