What is the difference between a contractor and a general contractor? 

Also can anyone make some recommendations for Indianapolis?

  if your talking about the 22k house you mentioned in another thread... Just hire a home inspector to start with.. then give your home inspection report to some GC's to bid a scope of work... Unless your doing volume you may have trouble finding a busy GC that is going to meet you at a property that you may or may not buy... its about establishing relationships plus the home inspection will give you bargaining chips with seller.. But really at 22k how much can you hammer a seller  LOL
