Going to first REI meeting next week , Do’s and dont’s ???

Question

Hi guys, I’m literally going to my first meeting next week and I have absolutely no idea what to bring or how to dress. Obviously I have an idea of what’s acceptable but would just like to hear some of your opinions and maybe some mistakes you may have made. I’m brand new to real estate and from what I’ve read a meeting is the best way to get going in the right direction ... thanks for any input in advance

@Bryan Palermo--look up business casual on the google machine, and wear a version of it that is appropriate to the scheduled venue. I would be ready for socialization--and bring business cards or be prepared to airdrop some equivalent.

Name, email address, and phone number. Carry a pen to make notes on the card about what you talked with them about.

So...I'm in the middle of this myself, but I find that there really isn't any such thing as 'a' mentor. You're going to have three to twenty people who each do things a different way, and will be willing to teach you the things they think you need to know. Build relationships and develop your own method.

Thanks for reaching out I appreciate the input. Also I wouldn’t know what to put on a business card seeing as I have no actual business yet. I’m actually looking for a person who will mentor me in return for some sweat equity but I obviously don’t want to just walk up to people and say that lol ... any additional info you might have on finding a mentor would be greatly appreciated...
