Meetup in the Atlanta Area?

Question

I recently moved to the Atlanta area. I brought my first property last year. I’m looking for any local meet up, where I can meet great people to share knowledge and resources. Any suggestions please?

Duane it is a bit unfortunate they are all filled with quite a bit of spam, but when you find a genuine post by someone addressing something you are curious about of share an interest in I would personally send them a message in order to get in contact. Instead of facing a bunch of wholesalers trying to add you to their buyers lists at social events we are seeing the online equivalent which is to be expected. attached below are the names of the groups I participate in!

@Kalim Kalla what Atlanta facebook groups do you recommend? The ones I have found only have a bunch of people trying to build buyers list.

Hey @Luckso Joacius, welcome to the BP community!

@Kalim Kalla is absolutely right. Social media and virtual networking is vital for at least getting the conversation started. You can check meetup.com and the REIAs but I believe most of the meetups are through Zoom right now.

So, my advice would be to start on platforms like BiggerPockets and FB groups - add value and see who else is doing the same. Then, start conversations with those people, schedule one-on-one calls or meet in person if both parties are comfortable with it.

Networking post-COVID does require more effort on the front end, but you will find yourself making much more personalized, quality connections.

Luckso, Pleasure to meet on BP. I have found some of the best places to meet are going to be in the Atlanta Facebook Groups. Of course a lot of those in person groups as you could imagine have slowed down but the content is still present.
