Legal Zoom Disparagement...Is It Warranted?

Question

There has been a lot of disparagement of Legal Zoom as not being the company to set up an LLC with. However, I have never heard anyone state a case in which Legal Zoom has failed any customer in regards to setting up an LLC as a real estate investor. Just wanted to get some hard evidence about Legal Zoom being a horrible place to set up an LLC. I have researched and thousands seem to be happy with the service they provide. Your thoughts please. Thank you in advance.

Yes, I agree with Christopher. Any services you purchase on line legal or insurance related would be generic. The best would be the hands on from an attorney, I always consider them part of my team. Good luck.

I don't think this issue really has to do with Legal Zoom as a company, but you need to remember that they have one standard set of forms that they use for all businesses. That means, it isn't going to address anything specific to the real estate investment. They also are not going to be able to tell you what you need to do to maintain your LLC and expand it's scope, when necessary. That's what lawyers are for - they're more expensive but they can guide you through the entire process and ensure you get things done right. You're paying for their expertise.
