Buying cash in Baltimore

Thinking about buying this property in cash in Baltimore for around 35k. I know I would need a good title company but what are some other things I would did to do? I heard I should check for lead paint as well... This is a buy n hold property with great potential and in a C neighborhood Thanks in advance

@Shawn Lewis that is a pretty open ended question. 

The very basics

  • Register the prperty with Maryland Dept of the Environment and get a lead certificate.
  • Register the property with Baltimore City
  • Find a local property manager if you are living in PA

What experience do you have? Have you done deals before? If the answer is none there is a ton of things to know and do. Here are just s fe ideas

  • Know how to inspect a property to see what it might need?
  • Know how to evaluate a property to see if it is a good deal
  • Know the market well enough to know the level of finishes the tenant will want
  • Besides complying with the lead paint laws do you know the risks and how to mitigate them?
