Do I need to have my own business to be a legitimate wholesaler? What else do I need?

Good morning Damiano,

If you're asking if your need your own business entity (LLC, S-Corp, etc) I don't think you need one. As far as what your need, a good amount of background knowledge is first.

You'll also need:

  • to plan out your marketing budget
  • define your target area(s)
  • develop a marketing strategy
  • come up with scripts to use for:
    • voicemail
    • calls with sellers
    • calls with cash buyers
  • systems to track leads
    • spreadsheets, logs, etc

I'm sure I'm missing a couple of details. Hopefully other members will jump in and pick up where I left off..

Best of luck to you!

-Abel
