Back from Iraq! 5 doors in less than 7 days!
Hey BP! I am currently active duty army and just got back to the United States this Saturday. Since then I have closed on a cabin in Gatlinburg for a v/r shout out to Avery Carl for all the help! I am also under contract on a quad scheduled to be completed this December in Clarksville Tennessee. Thanks to Justin Cory for all the incite and help with this one.
Three months ago I barely knew anything about real estate. I dived into the BiggerPockets forums and started soaking up as much information as I could along with listening to the Podcasts.
Don't let time or distance stop you from starting I was halfway around the world working 14hr days 7 days a week and I still managed to put in five offers on cabins and met people are hear willing to share their knowledge and time.
Im also looking forward to getting my real estate license at the end of this month while I finish out my two years of service with the army.

Wow! Some people lurk for years and never take action. After doing what you've been doing, buying real estate probably doesn't seem too risky. :D We bought three properties while stationed overseas, but that was after buying a number of houses right near the base at which we'd been stationed. Kudos to you for finding your way forward!
